Some parents decide to enroll their children in Pre-school, when the child is 3 or 4 years old. Some wait for their children to age a bit more and then enroll them in Kindergarten. Both schools offer the opportunity to prepare the child educationally, socially, and emotionally for elementary school.
These early years are very important for children, because it is at this stage that children have a high aptitude and enthusiasm for learning. Educational research findings demonstrate the intensive amount of learning of which children are capable. With proper direction and motivation, elementary school will produce sharp minds fit for grammar school. With excellent direction and heartfelt encouragement, brilliant minds may surface.
Of course, academically superior children are not the only goal of elementary school. These young students are having their first experiences in a social arena that mimics that of the adult world, with rules and regulations, relationships and friendships.
Elementary schools offer a healthy combination of education and socialization that seeks to endow their graduates with a foundation in the skills necessary to function in the schools and communities they will encounter as they grow up.
