What is the difference between a simple recipe and a difficult one? A simple recipe should have five ingrediants or less and the same amount of steps to get it from pantry to plate.
Easy recipes are staple meals for many busy parents. Most people don't want to be standing over a hot stove for and hour or longer after just getting home from work.…
Salads also make for quick and easy health conscious eating and they don't have to be "rabbit food" either. Take a can of tuna or turkey, mix in some natural yoghurt and dill (or sweet if you prefer) pickles and scoop that onto a bed of spinach. Or when making chicken bake a little extra and toss it on a bed of spring mix. Still have some of last night's taco meat left? Spice up Monday's lunch with that on a bed of lettuce.
Soups and slow cooker recipes make easy meals also. Some vegetable, beef or chicken stock kept at a slow simmer will make any meat tender. Mix in your favorite vegetables and some seasoning and let cook on a slow heat over your work day. Slow cooked food makes quick and easy comfort food. Have a bowl that night and freeze the rest for one of those days where even an easy recipe feels like too much.
If you want to try something more adveturous than peanut butter and jelly sandwiches you can find easy recipes online or you can go to any store where books are sold and buy simple recipe cook books.
